Rescobie Loch Development Association (RLDA), is managed by anglers for anglers.
The Loch is a relatively shallow water of 200 acres which provides rich feeding throughout the year resulting in good quality grown on trout. Fishing is by fly only from bank and boat.
RLDA was formed in the early 60's to provide the area with good affordable Loch fishing.
Over the years the members and committee have spent , and continue to spend, hours of hard work to form a first class Fishery with a deserved reputation for quality hard fighting , brown, rainbow and blue trout.
Fishing is run from the boathouse, which is adjacent to the B9113 Forfar to Montrose road - you can find a map via Google Maps on the Contact & Find Us page.
See our Prices page for details on fishing from bank, , engine/battery hire and times when permits can be obtained.
The Loch record stands at 17lbs 12 oz for brown trout and 17lbs 10ozs for rainbow trout - BUT there may be bigger ones out there.
